How to avoid automatic renewal of SSL certificate

For a number of reasons I have finally stopped using my QNAP TS-421, and consequently my myQNAPcloud service. What must I do to ensure that the license is not renewed when it expires? Should I do something now to disable the service? The hardware is no longer installed, so any requirement will have to be tackled online.
