Can't remove my device from qnapcloud

I signed up for Qnapcloud and saw a message saying not to look at any confidential files because QNAP may be able to see them. I didn't like that they had the ability to see my stuff so I learned how to set up OpenVPN and unregistered my device from qnapcloud.
When I access Qfile or Qmanager over my VPN it still shows my qnapcloud device name even though I unregistered my device from qnapcloud. I want to be certain that I am directly connected to my device and that files are not going through Qnap's cloud. How can I be certain?
