Web Connectivity fails, but also succeeeds!

Post by Navionmi »

I'm trying to deal with RTRR from a couple of other QNAP users with different NASs. Connection tests fail EVERY STINKIN' TIME, but I don't think it's them: I think it's me.
I have a TS-453 Pro. New Public Beta FW so I can run Hybrid Backup Station 3. But before we get to that, In the MyQNAPCloud software, there's a red X beside Web Connectivity. Test returns the same thing every time.
CloudLink status is green, and I can access the NAS over the myQNAPcloud site.
Auto Router Configuration is green, but I hate leaving the router on uPNP because...the world is not a happy place.
DDNS status is green.
If I go to the Auto Router configuration page to look at the router forwarding, everything there is OK. RTRR is mapped to port 8899.
Here's the diagnostic report. It's horribly unsafe right now, but I've essentially opened everything up so I can try to address this problem.

initnatpmp() returned 0 (SUCCESS)

Anybody got any ideas?

Just to wrap this up, it's because Telus is blocking the ports. ALL the ports. Going to try using a VPN connection first rather than RTRR.
