QNAP NAS Community Forum

Qnap has moved to another location cant connect thru internet when I set it up I could log in from home
but the company has moved to another location now not working.

when I click URL it works in new office but not from home, different IP for the new location I guess.

I set it up 2 years ago forgotten everything I learned

first of all , the NAS not connecting when you are at home is a great setting .. because you do NOT want to expose your NAS to the internet like that (that's how you get hacked)

talk to the IT guy of that company to setup a remote VPN access for you

The IT guy is me
They are not concerned about outside access, I guess I will leave it at that

Do you know where I would start to fix this issue just in case

fixing the issue..as in instate a vpn?

do you have a router/utm/firewall that supports it ?
