QNAP MyCloud stopped working but CloudLink still works . . .

Haven't updated firmware on my TS-639 in forever (I don't think there are any new firmware updates available - at least when I try to update from my local connection I get an error message), and one day MyCloud just stopped working.

I checked CloudLink and I can still access via that route.

Any tips or suggestions as to why MyCloud stopped working and CloudLink still works? How can I troubleshoot this effectively?

exposing your nas to the open web and havent updated the firmware in a while ?

check all the threads about hacked and infected nas to see what a bad idea that is

only use vpn (best done done via router or firwall) to connect to your nas from wan
