I'd like to hear your experience with MyQNAPCloud versus other cloud services (like OneDrive, Dropbox, Google Drive).

I have briefly tried MyQNAPCloud during the Covid Lockdown and had a bad opinion, since the service was often unavailable, but I don't know where the problem was: My NAS poor performance, local network performance, MyQNAPCloud service ?

FYI, I'm working with QNAP TS-219P II QTS 4.3.3.1386 with two 2GB HDs: the HD are 3/4 full.

I need to have access to our NAS files from remote, no need to have email or other cloud services like the one in MS OneDrive.
Problem is I have tons of file to access, something around 1 TB.

What are pros / cons of MyQNAPCloud and other vendor's cloud services?

take a quick quick peek in this forum and see the tons of threads talking about the insane security implications of exposing your qnap to wan

don't do it

if you need to access the nas from afar..use a vpn
if you need to share files with other people..use a cloudservice like dropbox, onedrive, etc

I am not aware of a comparison of the security implications/effectiveness between MyQnapCloud, MyQnapCloud Link and cloud services such as One Drive and Google Drive.
A trusted independent report from a trusted author would be welcome.

https://www.zdnet.com/article/qnap-tell ... ansomware/

compare that to the danger to your private LAN if dropbox or onedrive get compromised .. not sure why you would need and article to get this spoon-fed .. it should be pretty self explanatory

Those threads do not address the question raised.
