How to announce TR004 to myQNAPcloud service

Post by Semantix4Arnold »

The answer probably applies to all extension boxes. This is important when a service ticket is to be created for an extension box. Of course I could file a ticket on the NAS-box to which it is connected, and mention the exension box in the subject line or in the text. But the message on the service website suggests to register all devices to myQNAPcloud individually.

You're confusing the customer service Help Desk with the myQNAPcloud remote access service. Forget about myQNAPcloud, it has nothing to do with customer service and nothing to do whatsoever with your TR004.

If you want to file a service ticket for your extension box:
1. Go to https://service.qnap.com/ with your web browser.
2. Sign in with your QNAP ID. If you don't have a QNAP ID, create a QNAP account.
3. Select the 'My Device' tab and then the 'New Device' button.
4. Register your extension box unit (model, serial number, etc.).
5. Select the 'Support' tab and then the 'Create Support Ticket' button.
6. At the top of the ticket form, click the 'Device Serial Number' field and select your extension box unit from the menu.
7. Fill in the remainder of the ticket form.
