Smartlink upload from iOS client changing filesnames

Post by manwecke »

Hello all,

I have a very rare problem, but it **

I share a qnap folder with smartlink (https://www.myqnapcloud.com/smartshare/....... ) and allow also the upload feature. Uploads from windows and android clients work perfectly as expected.
But when the upload comes from an iOS client then the filename will be changed in some useless names (e.g. CE5691C4-32E9-457C-90CD-CBD418A17616.jpeg) and the EXIF infos disappear.

I checked it with Safari and Chrome Browser. Same behavior.
No idea, if it is bug or a feature, but if feature then useless one.

Are there any option to influence this behavior somewhere on the client or in myqnapcloud or in qnap system itself.
Would be great to hear from your.

Manfred

Directly exposing your NAS is a bad idea and has cost many folks their lifelong files (several times this year so far).

Look into dropbox/onedrive/icloud etc to upload your files
