Qsync icon file with question mark in a box

I am new to this...

I am running the qsync, hoping to have a smooth syncronisation system between my lap top file (mac book pro mojave) and my qnap server (ts-253 pro) with all up to date services.

Firstly i ran into problem when i selected the local folder containing my working folder with the nas folder (a copy of the local). The sync system has copied some extra folders into the main repertory. I think i could fix that by selecting each individual working folder and syncing them (instead of the main project folder)...

But the main thing, while syncing, it creates that file called : icon (with a boxed question mark next to it.)
Is it normal?
