IF ONLY I COULD!

I tried to raise a ticket, buit it refused to let me log in with username and pwd wrong... so tried to request new pwd and got this!
Uncaught Exception
Expected response code 250 but got code "554", with message "554 Message rejected: Sending suspended for this account. For more information, please check the inbox of the email address associated with your AWS account. " in ./__swift/thirdparty/SwiftMailer/classes/SwiftMailer/Transport/AbstractSmtpTransport.php:386

JEEZ!

Then I tried to send a message to presales as the ONLY option other than raising a ticket - GUESS WHAT! Got to the end of my message asking them to contact me urgently, and.....wait for it.....

Page with grey area saying something like "server did not respond in Time"

NO I dont have an internet problem...I have been on it all day with no issues!

As you can imagine... I am NOT IMPRESSED, and have no idea how I can escalate this...

cheers

Are you using the helpdesk app on your QNAP itself or using https://helpdesk.qnap.com?

Just tried using the NAS to raise a ticket ....

And I get:

2017-08-22
01:57:19
[Helpdesk] Failed to submit ticket due to limited Internet connection.

Seems like all their systems are crashed then????????

Or something in your NW config is causing an issue. I was able to update an existing helpdesk ticket just fine right now via the web interface.

At least today they have replied to the ticket, despite the interface failure my end....(so it couldn't have been THAT broken!)
They say they are trying to sort the problem with the 'frozen loading' screen.
..and, today their website DID allow me to get a new pwd and log in, without crashing! WAYHAAAY!

...so progress, so far!

Have the same "stuck loading". They have tried to fix it, but not succeed yet.

Wanted to follow up on this as my issue has been resolved. I'll be cross posting this same message across multiple threads I was 'complaining' on trying to get an answer to my problems. Note that I'm on a TS-451.

I started seeing a ton of random problems after one of the 4.3.3.x updates. I manually rolled back the firmware version until I got back to 4.2.5. At that point apps didn't work as many required 4.3.3 (i.e. virtual station/switch/plex/etc). I then let the box update itself to 4.3.3.0.299 and all my problems went away. The NAS is finally running like a champ as it used to. Took my over a month to debug (never actually figured out the root problem even with QNAP support). No doubt this situation has definitely made me wary of ever purchasing a QNAP product again. :-/

Qnap support solved the problem for me after a week or so.

Hi everyone,
I am QNAP NAS newbie and got TS-453Bmini with firmware 4.3.3.0299 yesterday. At initial stage, I also have VS 3.0.2817 installation problem. After I remove container station and reinstall VS again. everything work. FYI.

This problem is still happening.
I have this issue and contacted QNAP support, who took about three days to get back to me.
I set up the remote side, and they came in after another day or so.
I heard nothing but seen that a few VM's had been tried by someone at the support team.
I waited a few more days and heard nothing, so emailed them to be told that yes, they see the problem and I'll have to wait for the app to be updated,

So I've waited....... and waited, and then seen a new version had been released the other day, so installed that... and...... the same thing!

You can download an iso etc, install it but it never appears and the system just assumes there is no VM running.

I have to say that thank goodness I'm not relying on the VM for anything urgent, but support has, so far, left me wondering if I should have bought a newer Synology product instead?

Gordon - clarify more what you mean by downloading an iso/never appears/etc.

Exactly what are you trying to do?

Also generally when they have a release that fixes your issue, they will make note of it in the release notes, etc. So while a new version may have come out, that doesn't mean it necessarily has your fix in it. It may have been in the works for a while before your issue was even identified.

When you create a new VM and go through the sequence of linking in the ISO etc, they never show up.
All the original fully working VM's do not show up, but, if you SSH into the NAS itself you can see the folders there.
Support downloaded the ISOs for testing, like Windows 10, Linux etc, and when they went through the installation routine, at the end nothing shows up. You just see waiting.... but if you click the grid icon, it says no VMs.

THere are many people online with this issue, and it's been going for quite some time, so I find it incredible that support cannot come back with sort of explanation other than, wait for a new version to come out!

Works just fine for me.

Just installed current VS3 on my test TS-453Pro box w/latest QTS version.
Created Ubuntu VM linked to install Ubuntu install iso.
Showed up fine in VS console and booted up like a charm to the ISO install options.
