Hi all.
The last update of Virtualization Station is failing due to the absence of the /share/homes/httpdusr folder.
I don't know if this folder was here before or is a new requirement, anyway after created it and assigned the correct uid all went fine.

This solution was working for me too (TS-253PRO)

also instead of a general "me too" in an non-monitored support forum, be sure to raise a ticket with QNAP, otherwise they will never know about it

Instead, QNAP should monitor this forum...

Makes sense, except that they provide this forum as a means to alleviate their load and confusion.
But mostly, it isn't so much for bug reporting as it is a means to accomplish things not necessarily covered in the manual. There's that.
So the logic is we help ourselves until painted into corners, if indeed it is a bug and not a HOWTO.
Unfortunately, sometimes a user will find a work around and so we get so complacent that it works, we don't report the bugs as we should. "It takes too much time" some will say.

Can you imagine being support and having to sift through every post looking for issues only to be interrupted by other users when trying to troubleshoot with OP?
And then once you're done with the issue, you find users (ignorant users) who double, triple, quadruple, etc post the same exact issue? So you have to sift through those and troubleshoot again on each...?
Have an issue? Go to Help & Support and not forum. Forum is forum. Help & Support is functional, people are being paid to provide it.
More efficient on the one on one through channels specific to support. Quick access to remoting. No disruption. All centrally located and sorted in logical fashion. Solve the issue as a whole via patch.

Really ticked off with QNAP about this issue. Wasted hours trying to solve it or come up with a workaround. However, thanks to the great members here, this solution worked for me.

How did you discover this was the cause of the issue? Thanks!

I did open a support ticket as soon as I noticed the problem, but I wound up rolling back to the earlier version before they even got back to me. I did forward a link to this thread so there's no excuse for them "now knowing about it".

You're welcome!
I found out that issue from the QVM webserver log (via ssh), where was reported the mod_wsgi malfunction due to the missing directory.
Bye.

Thanks for that info. I just want to update others here that QNAP's official response from the support ticket I opened was to revert back to a previous version.
Hi Andrew,

Try reverting back to the previous version and let me know if it starts working again. You can download the previous version here.

So now I am concerned if those of us with this issue should revert back. If keeping this current version that caused the issue along with the newly added folder will continue to cause issues with future updates.
