Virtualization station will not start

Post by OBear »

Hi all,
I have a TS669 Pro and i just installed QTS 4.3.3 beta as i saw it could support the latest (also beta) version of QVS (3.0.2096_20170213_x86_64).
After installing new firmware on QNAP and rebooting, everything seemed fine, i installed QVS and it installed successfully however it did not start.
rebooted several times and reinstalled a few more and to no avail.

I checked the logs in /share/CACHEDEV1_DATA/.qpkg/QKVM/var/log
and qvsd.err.log had this to say

Code: Select all

i quick search revealed absolutely nothing, so not even sure theres any sort of support for beta software, but figure id try my luck.
from what i can tell its missing a whole bunch of dependencies but not sure how to even go about getting them.
Any help would be most welcome

What happens if you change the QTS language to English? Have you tried running in a different browser (Chrome seems to work most consistently)?

Even at https, it's not working. With error "The webpage at https://xxxxx.myqnapcloud.com/qvs/?windowId=QKVM& might be temporarily down or it may have moved permanently to a new web address."

first off, access your NAS via local IP address and then from QTS try running VS. Let's start with a simple way of accessing it 1st.

I was replying to the prior uses post about not being able to access VS via myqnapcloud address. in some cases that can be cause by changing of ports, so wanted to make sure was accessible locally first.

Agreed that neither item was in reference to original post.

I was able to get mine to work by connecting to QTS first by IP. Then launch Virtualization Station from QTS. I think it has something to do with the change HTTS ports (or no certificate).
