Does anyone know if it's possible to create an interface on a VM with a dedicated physical interface?
I tried this but it appears it's only possible to attribute through a virtual Switch.
Although, since I wanted this interface to be on monitor mode, it should have no IP.
As such, I created a Virtual Switch external mode (0.0.0.0 IP).
However the only packets going into the VM are either Multicast or Broadcast. It appears the switch is dropping unicast packets.
How can I fix this? Is this a known issue with the QNAP virtual switches?
1. A way to set vSwitch as promiscuous mode?
2- A way to dedicate a physical interface to a VM without any vSwitch?
