QNAP NAS Community Forum

It did, then it stopped. Had this problem on some other physical Win 10 machines. It resolved, but not sure exactly how or why.

NAS is seen in Explorer, Network, but cannot open, fails to connect.
Maddening!

...what nas model?
...what firmware
...virtual machine on the nas ?..on another machine?
...did you check all the other threads about win10 connection issues?

None seemed to match my situation, that I found.

Which Virtual Switch do you have the VM NIC connected to? Screenshots will make it easier to diagnose.

Well, don't have any idea why, but suddenly it is working. I changed nothing.
Go figure.

I am having this same issue essentially any clues?
I have three different QNAPS and I can't map any network drives to any of them as of this morning. They were all working fine last night.
All the Macs in the office connect just fine, Windows 7 and 8 just fine too, only Windows 10 Pro.
I've tried mapping via IP, Host Name, and DNS mapped domain name. all fail.
I can access the web interface of the NAS with no issue and login with my same credentials, so I'm not security blocked by the NAS.
I've turned off windows defender and any antivirus just to see if they were somehow blocking it.
I've tried mapping myself and through Qfinder no luck.
I've removed the stored credentials using Credentials Manager in Windows.
I've reset the network adapter
I've tried WiFi and hardwired connections.

Same issue for me - I can't even see my NAS in my network! help anyone please?
