Win10 VM loses ethernet

Post by Miroresh »

Hi all,

I had setup a windows 10 VM using the vSwitch and both ethernet ports on the NAS are cabled and working.

The VM was pinging and functioning last night as shown here. It was pinging the gateway and outside (8.8.8.8 ) but this morning, after about 10 hours it no longer pings. Nothing has changed in that time period and the VM was untouched during that time.

Here is the vSwitch configuration, this was also unchanged since last night.

Any suggestions on what I should check for next? I can't figure out why it just lost internet connectivity. Can't be reached from inside the network either, there are no IP conflicts as no other devices have the same IP in the same home network.

Thanks!

you can upload pics to the forum itself .. better than 3rd part links

so that adapter 1 is used only for the VM then ? (with adapter 2 for the rest of the NAS functions ?)

Yup, that is correct. Although, do i need to specify NAS functions on adapter 2 specifically somewhere?

Images added as attachments as suggested. :)

Nope, I can log in through console from the virt station and the VM is functioning. CMD screenshot is from inside the VM and everything else was up.

Still battling through this. Opened ticket with support and also no luck. Only thing that fixes is it is to force shutdown and restart the VM.

Anyone else has seen this behavior?

Still experiencing this, even on beta 5. Only solution has been to hard reboot the VM. :(
