QNAP Window Guest CD tools ?

Do the QNAP Window Guest CD tools actually do anything?
I don't get the vitio drivers to install.
Is there a newer version of these tools perhaps?

last i heard they updated the guest tools in the latest virtual station?

- Downgrading Virtualization Station 3.4 to an earlier version is not supported, and is likely to cause unpredictable issues.
- VMs exported from Virtualization Station 3.4 are only compatible with Virtualization Station 3.4 and later versions.

Okay, I tried all of this, many many times, I cannot use the disk virtio drivers, even though they are installed.
The QEMU disk drivers seem to have to be used, sigh...

And on re-install, VIRTIO disk interface is now working.
Strange.
Oh, I am using the RedHat drivers, virtio-win-0.1.185.iso

what nas are you using? are you using the latest qts and virtual station app?
what vm are you using, win10? ubuntu?
i tested setting up virtio using win10 vm, definitely works. i followed this video, you do not need to refer to anything else for the instructions for how to get virtio setup

Yes, I've seen all of those links, video, etc, thanks.
new TVS-872XT, upgraded to 64GB.
QTS - 4.4.3.1354 upgraded from 4.4.1.1122 on first day I received, July 09.
VS - 3.4.5
Win 10 LTSB - now working with virtio disk interface
Win 7 Pro, couldn't get it to work, maybe now I have Win 10 LTSB working on re-install, I can get a new Win 7 Pro install working?
Worth a try...

i'm not sure about win7 since i never tried that for vm

I don't think virtio HDD works for windoze 7.
Can anyone get the virtio driver for HDD working in windoze 7?
The virtio-win-0.1.185.iso install app, says windows 8 or > only.
I even forced the install of all the w7 .inf info files via administrator command line:
pnputil -i -a name.inf
I tried the QNAP guest cd also, same, HDD virtio does not work in windoze7.

On tvs 1282 virtio works fine on win 7
