TS-h973AX no sound output via virtual desktop

Post by chrisinhkg »

Hi,
Can someone please confirm with the TS-h973AX if sound can be heard from the Ubuntu Linux Station via the remote desktop connection (via the web browser), or other virtual machines accessed via the web browser.

In Ubuntu Linux Station or a Windows 10 (Virtualization Station 3) the system see's a sound device, but I'm unable to hear anything even though the sound is working, (tested by recording with OBS) saved the file back to the same computer and I can hear the sound from the recording.

Any suggestions on how to get the sound working

Thx

Hi dolbyman,
Thanks for your reply.

Actually I'm using rdp and from what I know, the sound should be supported, at least on windows systems.
To be more specific, my VM is an Ubuntu 22 with xrdp and I connect to it with rdp on win 10.

Thx

oh. because you said webbrowser access, not via rdp app on windows

I have never used xrdp, so I don't know (regular rdp fom windows supports sound)
