I have Ubuntu 20.10 running in Vistualization Station 3
My problem is that every time I need to reboot the VM, Ubuntu comes up in 800x600 and I have to manually set it to a higher res.
Isn't there any way to make this setting permanent?

Great!
That solved my issue.
(How did you figure that one out? Trial'n'error?)

Ha, ha
But seriously - I find these OS images running in Virtualization Station are extreeeeemely slow! In fact - more os less useless for any serious purpose.
Why is it that running Ubuntu in Container Station on the same machine is like HummingBird, while running Ubuntu in Virtualization Station is like a sloth!

I believe you can. Nevertheless, my point is that running anything in a VW and it's crawling, while on the same machine I can have 10 containers running concurrently, and no noticeable degradation in performance.
I suspect this is a QNAP issue. If VW's in general were this useless, they wouldn't exist.
