Hello there,
I'm running a Win10 VM on my TVS-472XT. It's hosting a radio station broadcasting programme.
We want this VM, and this programme, to continue running/broadcasting even when we are not actively using the VM. How do we achieve this? At the moment we are finding that if we are using RDP and disconnect from the VM, the radio stream stops broadcasting after 15 secs or so. We want the VM to be live and running this process all the time.
Looking online I see some VM managers have a setting you can enable to 'enable VM to keep running when disconnected' - is there anything similar for QNAP? Couldn't see anything in the settings for the VM in Virtualization Station.
Thanks,
Andrew

VMs should not be dependent on any remote viewer.
Are you logging out of a session(RDP) or what are you doing to connect?
If you are on RDP just 'x' out of the window instead (session keeps running)

Oh great - I never knew that! How useful!
We've been hitting 'disconnect' or 'sign out'.
Would my session keep running even if I had to restart the laptop I'm rdp-ing in from - I guess not!?
Ideally we'd always have a user session active on the VM so that the radio station can stream in perpetuity.
We would then just use rdp to login to make changes to the radio programming.

The RDP client can be on fire and the RDP host wouldn't care .. they are two separate systems
