How to open QNB files (Note Station1) in Note Station 3

I have backup data in a .qnp file that was created in Note Station (Version 1, was just named Notes). Unfortunately, Note Station 3 does not recognize the qnb file extension. The only files is recognizes is .ns3/.qnsx. Does anyone know how I can recover my data? Or even be able to view if from a different program?

Frustrated. - Why would QNAP make a new version of an app and not give you the ability to open files from previous versions.

Any help would be appreciated

Subject line says Notes Station 1. Should have been "QNotes". Reposting to see if there are any potential suggestions.
