When clicking on the Notes Station button on the desktop the redirected web page goes to https://xxxx.myqnapcloud.com:8085/qnote. The 8085 port is either hard coded as it's not my configured port or perhaps just a random number.
The configured port is the standard SSL port 443.
Temp fix change the URL manually to the correct port http://xxxx.myqnapcloud.com/qnote/.
QNAP please fix this basic item.

Re: Broken URL for HTTP(S) connection
There is nothing wrong with this "basic item". this issue is caused by "you" . It is using whatever port "you" configured for it:jrb wrote:When clicking on the Notes Station button on the desktop the redirected web page goes to https://xxxx.myqnapcloud.com:8085/qnote. By default this is Port 8081/TCP. Sounds like you changed the WebServer SSL port from the default 8081/TCP to 8085/TCP for whatever reason.
Check with http://canyouseeme.org to ensure that port 8085/TCP is open in your Router, and that it is port-forwarded to your NAS.

Re: Broken URL for HTTP(S) connection
The configured port is 443 - when changing the port number the URL doesn't update accordingly. Not sure where the port reference 8085 is actually coming from. Not part of my setup! For reference phpMyAdmin has the same issue.
This issue only occurs when logged into QTS on HTTPS (443) connection. When trying on the standard web port (80) without making any changes to the configuration the icon buttons work. Seems to be isolated when using the HTTPS connection only. In the old firmware terminal it gave you a manual choice to select the appropriate URL (HTTP or HTTPS) where the script takes care of it now but it seems to be broken somewhere. It is pulling the port number 8085 from somewhere!

Default HTTP: 80
Default HTTPS: 8081
Check the screenshot provided the first time. Check out the Web Server section of the fine manual. It will confirm the information I provided, in fact it will show you the identical screenshot I provided.

Re: Broken URL for HTTP(S) connection
Yes you are correct - that's the problem. I mistakenly thought that all QNAP apps were on the Admin WebUI server. Photo, File, Music, Video, Download and Surveillance stations are all on the same webserver so there must be a reason why Note is on the other server.Notes Station runs on WebServer, not on Admin WebUI
From a personal perspective it would be better if all the apps were on the same webserver so you don't need to open another hole in the firewall.

Re: Broken URL for HTTP(S) connection
In case anyone else has this problem, it seems that the QNotes application actually auto selects the wrong port ((443) in my case) when using SSL. I had to go into the app and manually set 8081 for the external port in there, then external access worked fine. Of course you need your firewall rule to match.
