Setting up DMZ

Post by ozstar »

Hi,

I have read that all I have to do to setup a DMZ for my webserver is to go to the router and enter the IP of the server in the DMZ area. Is this correct?

Where have you read that ?

Placing your NAS in a DMZ, you might as well delete it yourself, so the hackers don't have to !

If you want to run public available services, do that in a VM or container (IF you have to do that on the NAS at all)

It would be helpful to stick with one of these instead of opening a new one
