Good evening

PHP 7.4 is included in the latest firmware.
It's even a newer PHP.

But you can download the zip file to your PC.
Extract it with an unzipper
Open the desktop of your NAS
Open App Center
Open Install Manual
Tick Browse and find the extracted file on your PC
Tick Install
And you're done.
That was the beauty of the PHP-FPM file.

When you remove PHP-FPM in App Center you are back on the PHP in the firmware.

Now I wish there was a PHP-FPM 8.0 or 8.1 available.

Re: Updating PHP on QNAP NAS

Post by Gyro_Smith »

I have a QNAP TS-420 firmware version 4.3.3.2211 but my php version is only 5.6.40 and I want to update it to v7 or v8.
I logged into my NAS
Open the desktop of your NAS
Open App Center
Open Install Manual

but I couldn't find an update for the php.
Is it possible with the TS-420?
if so, how do I do it?
Cheers
Gary
