How to get logs on HTTPS port 8081

Post by royenglenn » Tue Feb 23, 2016 7:13 pm

Hello,

I have a website running.
It is both on port HTTP port 80 and HTTPS port 8081
I have managed to get logs from web activity on the HTTP port 80. No problems there.
However when i want the same logs on the HTTPS port I don't know how to do that.

I have the </etc/config/apache/apache.conf> adjusted adding the line <Include /etc/config/apache/extra/apache-myconfig.conf>
and i have added the </etc/config/apache/extra/apache-myconfig.conf> file holding the following statements :

CustomLog /share/Qweb/logs/main_log combined
ErrorLog /share/Qweb/logs/error_log

I've been searching forever on how to get the same logs on the HTTPS port.
I've read a lot about virtual servers and so on, but I really don't understand how to make this work.

I hope somebody in here has the knowledge which files i need to adjust, and how to adjust them

Thanks very much for any help. Really appreciated

I figured it out, and it was in fact really simple
Adjust the file <apache-ssl.conf> bij adding the following lines to te botom of the file, just above the last line </VirtualHost>

CustomLog /share/Qweb/main_log combined
ErrorLog /share/Qweb/error_log

and voila.....it now records also logs from HTTPS

I am having problems with this same scenario and the above does not seem to be working for me with QTS 4.3.6

What exact files in what location do you set the error log for?
