Running webserver with php from entware

Post by steff123 »

Hey,

my Qnap TS119 PII is running with FW 4.1.1. and with php version 5.3.29. I'd like to install a web-applikation which requires php 5.5 but i'd to like to avoid a firmware upgrade.

With opkg I was able to install the cli and cgi version of php 5.6. But how can I let the webserver running with this version? My first try was replacing the two php-binaries located in /mnt/ext/opt/apache/bin/ with links on the entware binaries. Restarting the web-server doesn't change phpinfo().

Is ist possile to replace the php-version for the webserver?

Regards
Steffen

Many asked the same question before - not aware there is any solution. What is the point for not keeping the NAS current - especially if one does need the newer code?
