The Web server

- on http://[NAS_IP_address]:80/ is workable?

- http://[NAS_IP_address]:80/whatever.htm is serving a whatever.htm file for a test?

- http://[NAS_IP_address]:80/whatever.php (ie. a sample code of phpinfo) is run in php?

Can't connect to phpMyAdmin - getting "Error establishing a database connection." Obviously.

The last time this happened a month ago, a QNAP tech did a Putty session, but couldn't fix anything and suggested I downgrade. This helped as I was able to access my Websites. Yesterday I got an email from Pao Yang asking if I could again update to check if MySQL works. My guess was they made some changes.

This time tho downgrading only made the situation worse as almost every app is complaining it doesn't work with the older firmware. WOW.

Now I'm without access to the 20 Websites I have on this machine. Any suggestions?

FIXED

For future reference, using PUTTY command:

Code: Select all

/etc/init.d/mysqld.sh restart

NOT FIXED

Disregard my last - system restart this morning took care of what I got working yesterday. Back to a "#2002 - No such file or directory."

The system is just as busted and unreliable as on my TS509 from years ago, but at least we have a nicer UI to look at!
