Webdavs fails with 501 Not Implemented

Dear sirs,

I have searched the forum for this but did not find anything that addresses my situation. I am using a Ts-253be with QTS v4.4.1.1146. Most of the functionality runs OK. I have no problem connecting locally at http(s)://192.168.1.11 and also no problem connecting with https://MYADDR.myqnapcloud.com. I am using the Let's Encrypt SSL service and the Qnap provided DDNS with related MyQnapcloud DDNS association. Security Counselor is on medium; admin/root password has been changed from default but all other settings are default as far as I know. Applications > Web server is enabled; web dav is also enabled.

The problem with the device is when I connect via webdavs with Cyberduck, Carotdav, or similar webdav(s) application with correct username and password, the Qnap device returns a 501 Not Implemented error.

I have tried webdavs connecting on 192.168.1.11/homes (/homes is shared with full access web dav permission) and error; connecting with MYADDR.myqnapcloud.com/homes and still 501 Not Implemented error. /homes is reachable locally no problem via Samba.

This happens every time. Does not matter if webdavs connection is from my Windows desktop or Mac OS X Macbook. 501 Not Implemented is always the error and webdavs does not connect.

I have contacted Qnap and they seem to no longer be addressing any comments on the help ticket. Their past suggestion was simply to follow

Does anyone have any advice to get webdavs working?

Did you ever get this fixed? I had webdav working some time back but today I'm also seeing this error.

More than one year later. Qnap does not reply to the comments from the actual help ticket. They close new ones simply saying to follow the tutorial I previously mentioned. I have and webdav(s) is not working. The issue is unresolved and Qnap response is pathetic on this.
