Unable to access MySQL as admin

Post by mippo9 »

Hello,
I'm no longer able to access the MySQL database as administrator.
Tried to reset admin account, following this indication, but nothing:
https://www.qnap.com/en-us/how-to/knowl ... -root-user

Furthermore, PhpMyAdmin is no longer working, showing a big no-access road sign.
anyone else with similar problem ?

I've been having a number of issues with MyPhpAdmin and being unable to access it. Original issues started with the update where QNAP decided the password was week and disabled access without telling me. That was the same time when they decided to restrict my IP addresses to virtual switches and removed my static address.

I've gone thru the resetting of the password as well, but it still comes up as "connection refused."

I'm also now having connection issues for QVR Pro as well. Seems like they are breaking things allover the place.

Updating:
with the recent FW QTS 5.0.0. upgrading, MariaDB has reappeared, in its release MariaDB 5.5.68.
Also the system is proposing to install phpMyAdmin.

Actually, I have now arranged another solution based on my PC.
What's happening between QNAP and MySQL/MariaDB ?
Is this new installation reliable ?
