Source : http://www.urbackup.org/

Download : x64 , x31, x41, arm64, armv5

https://www.myqnap.org/product/urbackup/

Notes :

Create a shared directory to store your backup files and within the WebInterface, schedule the target directroy as /share/$your_share-name

ARMv5 and ARMv7 version require MUSL TOOLCHAIN been installed on NAS as prior

MUSL : https://www.qnapclub.eu/fr/qpkg/1098

About :

UrBackup is an easy to setup open source client/server backup system, that through a combination of image and file backups accomplishes both data safety and a fast restoration time.
File and image backups are made while the system is running without interrupting current processes.
UrBackup also continuously watches folders you want backed up in order to quickly find differences to previous backups. Because of that incremental file backups are really fast.
Your files can be restored through the web interface or the Windows Explorer while the backups of drive volumes can be restored with a bootable CD or USB-Stick (bare metal restore).
A web interface makes setting up your own backup server really easy.

updated to 1.4.9

1.4.9

Changes:

New server side advanced setting to not run the client with background priority
New server side advanced setting to not follow symlinks on Linux clients
Fixed bug where garbage was appended to the end of a decompressed VHDZ file. This causes this file to become unmountable e.g. with the VHD mounting integrated in Windows
Added turkish translation
New tool to write compressed/incremental volume images into one disk image with proper layout and master boot record. On Windows assemble_disk_image.bat, on Linux start_urbackup_server --assemble "a.vhd;b.vhd" --assemble_output "disk.vhd"

Hi any tips on how to enter the path for backups?
I'm new to QNAP so not sure how I would reference a shared folder as a local drive?

I tried a UNC path below but it still complains...

\\scarlet\Backups\UrBackup

If any chance to do this plugin for ARMv5, I'll be totally happy, as I have sold and am administering over 10 ARMv5 QNAP NAS'es, and UrBackup running directly on NAS would be GREAT!!! :)
