Hope that helps.

PS. You really want to do this for all QPKGs that are a dependency for other Apps, so make sure Python, Entware, PHP, Mono etc. are at the top of the configuration file.

Thanks I'll give that a try.

Unfortunately it appears moving the Mono section above Sonarr inside the qpkg.conf file did not resolve the issue. Any other suggestions?

If it does start manually after a reboot then that was the only thing I could think of (If something else springs to mind I'll update the post).

You could add a Mono check to the Sonarr init script writing to the event log if it fails, at least you will know for sure if Mono is up and available before Sonarr is being fired up.

PS. The RC_Number for Mono is lower than the one for Sonarr I take it?

Code: Select all

[Qmono]
Name = Qmono
Version = 3.10.0.0
Author = Guerithault Stephane (QoolBox)
QPKG_File = Qmono.qpkg
Date = 2015-06-04
Shell = /share/CACHEDEV1_DATA/.qpkg/Qmono/Qmono.sh
Install_Path = /share/CACHEDEV1_DATA/.qpkg/Qmono
RC_Number = 101
Enable = TRUE
Status = complete
[QSonarr]
Name = QSonarr
Version = 1.150606
Author = Guerithault Stephane (QoolBox)
QPKG_File = QSonarr.qpkg
Date = 2015-06-16
Shell = /share/CACHEDEV1_DATA/.qpkg/QSonarr/QSonarr.sh
Install_Path = /share/CACHEDEV1_DATA/.qpkg/QSonarr
WebUI = /
Web_Port = 8989
RC_Number = 102
Enable = TRUE
Status = complete
Visible = 2
Login_Screen = 0

Any chance changing the RC number for Sonarr to something higher would have an affect (seems other apps such a couch potato have an RC of 211)? *Also they are not next to each other in my config file, Mono is close to the top and Sonarr is near the bottom.

Are we able to update within the app?

Stephane your package is causing many problems in my system, because the AppData is set to the ramdisk. This means that my NAS fans go crazy when Sonarr updates because it writes the data to the ramdisk, filling it up and not leaving space for the system functions.

Please read this thread on the Sonarr forums, I think you can fix this on the init script: https://forums.sonarr.tv/t/qnap-sonarr- ... or/4061/15

I will try to check, but i dont have this kind of issue here, all is in the admin home directory
the behavior you experience is only happening if you run it from SSH

if i make modification it may inpact actual user configuration, i have to check for a migation way

can you try to export HOME to another location, adding in the /etc/init.d/QSonarr.sh

Code: Select all

export HOME=your_location

Same issue here on a NAS I am trying to set this up on - attempting an update is flooding the ramdisk and the update is failing. Brand new install with no modifications.

Will this install and function on the TVS-X63 series that has AMD x86 chipset? I understand the mono dependency has an Intel x86 requirement.

I am not yet a QNAP owner. I am considering the TVS-X63 series due to price point, HDMI output and transcoding capability of the processor.

Appreciate any guidance.
