Re: [Ubooquity ] [ 1.10.1 ] Home server for comics and ebooks

Post by precision06 »

Having some issues getting Ubooquity to start at Boot. To get UbooQuity to run I have to log into SSH and run the command java -jar Ubooquity.jar -webadmin from the install directory of Ubooquity.

Ive checked /etc/config/qpkg.conf

[UbooQuity]
Status = complete
Name = UbooQuity
Version = 1.10.1
Author = Guerithault Stephane (QoolBox)
QPKG_File = UbooQuity.qpkg
Date = 2017-06-04
Shell = /share/CACHEDEV1_DATA/.qpkg/UbooQuity/UbooQuity.sh
Install_Path = /share/CACHEDEV1_DATA/.qpkg/UbooQuity
WebUI = /
Web_Port = 2202
RC_Number = 113
Enable = TRUE

and checked init.d and the UbooQuity.sh file is there and looks as it should compared to other entries found on these pages.

I have rebooted and tried uninstalling JRE, QJDK8 and UbooQuity and reinstalling with limited success.

Running ./ubooquity.sh start from /etc/init.d goves this error... "[/etc/init.d] # ./UbooQuity.sh: line 43: /share/CACHEDEV1_DATA/.qpkg/QJDK8/bin/java: No such file or directory"

Any help is much appreciated

Hello Stephane,

Any chance to get the last Beta version: Ubooquity 2.0.2 BETA?
I know is Beta but is the second revision and fixed few BUGs.

Thanks in advance and thanks for all the work you do.

Is there an manual way to uninstall ubooquity?
i see there is a newer version as a qpkg but when i look through the app center it only gives me an option to install and fails if i try to do so. So im guessing a need to do a manual uninstall somehow then re-install the latest version.

anyone have any pointers?

Why does this version require QJDK8? QJRE is already available via QNAP's built-in app store - and Ubooquity 2.x absolutely functions well with it. In fact, if you install this Ubooquity QPKG and then modify the .conf for it, you can point it at QJRE and it'll work. And then you can uninstall the "dependency" of QJDK8.

Latest update of QJRE supports x86, x64, and ARM. No more excuse to "require" QJDK.

QJDK8 is available for ARM

what's wrong with QJDK8 this dependency ? i prefer personnaly work with JDK instead JRE

Dear Stephane,

Files with names containing character with accent are skipped during the scan.
I have tried to update Ubooquity.sh in order to set locale params to fr_FR-UTF8 on my brand new ts253a but it does not work. I may have an error in the way I write fr_FR-UTF8, since I have tried many possibilities with no success (lower case utf8, utf-8, etc for instance).

Could you please enable it in your default script ? Or explain how to manage those characters?

So I'm trying to install this, but I keep getting Connection Refused in my browsers when I try to open the admin page. I have installed it through QNAP Club and App Center on my TS-231, and I installed QJDK8 beforehand. I do have a certificate installed for my domain in my NAS, but usually I just need to replace the domain name with the internal IP and everything works. Not working in this case.

I would really like to get this working. What am I doing wrong?
