thanks in advance,
Hans

Re: [ QNZBGet ] [ 20.0.0 ] Usenet Grabber
Hi all,
I've a problem with NZBget. I have TS-653 pro. I´ve used clinton NZBget for years, Yesterday it refused to work anymore, it stopped to load nzb files. I re-installed it - no go. Than I tried to upgrade to QNZBGet but got error message that qpkg couldn't be installed. Uninstalled clintons, tried again to install QNZBGet, same result. Now I've been reading a lot but I can't find any solution. If i re-install clintons I can't even access webui any more. I can't locate installation folder of NZBget with WinSCP, I've tried.
My Linux knowledge is more than limited. I'm able to follow instructions but no much more.
Grateful for any help

try the following in an ssh session:
if it fails you should see some output. post what the output is.
Code: Select all
[~] # cd /share/Public
[~] # wget https://www.qnapclub.eu/en/qpkg/model/download/463887/QNZBGet_20.0.0_x86_64.qpkg

[~] # sh QNZBGet_20.0.0_x86_64.qpkg

Thanks for this, it was really helpful in my particular case (on a TS-439 Pro).Toxic17 wrote: ↑Fri Nov 16, 2018 6:44 pm try the following in an ssh session:

To sum it up, I was having trouble installing the qpkg of the latest version (20.0). QTS would install it and show it in the application screen as running. However, the service never came up.
I used this method to install the qkpg from the terminal and noticed the starting script failed, complaining about nzbget not being found in the /bin directory. The bin directory somehow only contained an archive.tar.gz.
What worked for me was to download and install the previous version (19.0) from the terminal, and then upgrade to 20.0 from the nzbget ui.
Sorry about not disclosing any of the actual script errors, it was late and I did not log them, and I'm posting the day after from another machine. I hope this information will help anyone with the same problem.

Re: [ QNZBGet ] [ 20.0.0 ] Usenet Grabber
After the latest QNAP software update, my NZBGet doesn't work anymore. There's no start or stop button, only remove. It's not running and I can't see a way to make it run, has anyone else noticed this?
EDIT:
I was using the Clinton.Hall NZBGet. Not sure why it stopped working today. To fix it I simply installed QNZBGet and moved over my config files from:
/share/CACHEDEV1_DATA/.qpkg/NZBGet/nzbget
To:
/share/CACHEDEV1_DATA/.qpkg/QNZBGet/bin
After moving over all the files other than the main "nzbget" file, all is working as it was before with no loss of settings or queue.

I have the same issue after the latest QNAP software update. NZBGet doesn't work anymore. There's no start or stop button, only remove. It doesn't appear to be running.
I removed it and then installed QNZBGet. When I open QNZBGet I get a blank page that never loads... just endless spinning.

Re: [ QNZBGet ] [ 20.0.0 ] Usenet Grabber
Is it anywhere in release notes of latest qnap version? Is it even legal to interfere with 3rd party software like that?
On a side note, QSonarr stopped working for me at the same time.

I ended up installing it manually again using the link https://www.qnapclub.eu/en/qpkg/226
works fine for me now. Just make a backup of your settings somewhere in case it happens again in the future and then you can just reload the configuration again.

Re: [ QNZBGet ] [ 20.0.0 ] Usenet Grabber
I'm having a TS-420 using NZBGet (V150706 - Clinton Hall) which stopped working after the latest QTS (4.3.3) upgrade. Looking at the date it was installed it needed an update anyway
I tried installing the TS-ARM-X19 version of QNZBGet (release 20.0.0) but according to the system log the installation package is incompatible. Obviously I did something wrong. Possibilities:
1) I have to use another qpkg package for my model
2) I have to remove NBZGet before installation of QNZBGet (and migrate the configuration from my backup)
3) There is no package for this specific model so I have to pray to the gods that another package works
4) all ot the above
What did I do wrong?

Re: [ QNZBGet ] [ 20.0.0 ] Usenet Grabber
I solved it.
- backup of NZBGet/nzbget/nzbget.conf
- stop + uninstall NZBGet 15
- install QNZBGet 20 + stop
- compare and manually copy all relevant settings to QNZBGet/bin/nzbget.conf and be sure to CHANGE THE {mainDir} SETTING or WebUI will not work
- start QNZBGet again (I needed a Qnap restart too)
