/share/CACHEDEV1_DATA/$your_share

but may be different if you have another configuration (JBOD for example)

I have updated the app, but it still tells me it's 3.0.5675.1
The Qnap app center tells me it's version 1.150825, so that should be good.
Did I do anything wrong?

** EDIT ** Never mind... after another try it seems to be updated to the new version.

Sorry, but where I can find installation steps for Emby on Qnap?
I downloaded Mono 4.0.2, installed it on computer, downloaded MediaBrouser_1.150
What I need to do next?
Does Emby will work on my QNAP Nas-412U?

Your NAS is based on a Marvel chipset, so Emby does not work on your NAS.

It will not work with this package.
You might get it working by manually installing it, but you need to know that this will not perform smooth (or anything near smooth).
The Marvel chip is just far to weak for this kind of software (transcoding will never happen).

I'm sorry to bring you the bad news.

Well, the update killed my installation. Now I get a black empty screen in the media view and a white page with some empty elements in the dashboard. Not too happy about needing to completely remove everything and reinstall it from the start. So beware of the update to the newest version. This is what the index.html looks like now while accessing it on either http or https:

<!DOCTYPE html>
<html class="ui-mobile" lang="en">ev
<head></head>
<body>
<paper-drawer-panel class="mainDrawerPanel mainDrawerPanelPreInit x-scope paper-drawer-panel-0" forcenarrow="">ev
<iron-media-query id="mq" class="style-scope paper-drawer-panel"></iron-media-query>ev
<iron-selector class="left-drawer transition style-scope paper-drawer-panel" activate-event="" attr-for-selected="id">
<div id="main" class="style-scope paper-drawer-panel" style="left:256px;">
<div main=""></div>
<div id="scrim" class="style-scope paper-drawer-panel"></div>ev
</div>
<div id="drawer" class="style-scope paper-drawer-panel" style="width:256px;">
<div class="mainDrawer" drawer=""></div>
</div>
</iron-selector>
</paper-drawer-panel>
</body>
</html>

Update: Removing and reinstalling doesn't help. Neither the previous version nor the newest version work now. Any help is appreciated.

You might try stopping the app in the QNAP app dash board then wait a little while, log into the NAS via ssh and check that the mono instance is not still running and kill it if it is or just reboot the NAS. Then start the app again from the QNAP app dash board.

Not sure that the database isn't damaged or something but it seems the mono instance isn't properly stopped when the app is disabled and that might also be the case on update.

Might help I don't know.

@raven-au
That's quite correct. Stopping the app doesn't seem to actually stop the app. Only stopping and then rebooting the NAS helps. After that I removed/reinstalled Qmono/Emby and I needed to clear my browser cache and all cookies. Then it started working again.

One question though. Am I supposed to be able to update Emby by installing the new version over the old one at all or do I really need to remove the old version and then install the new one after that?

Normally yes, but we'll need to leave the actual answer to that for @QNAP_Stephane
