:?: Hey guys and girls. I need a hand here. I have installed Emby onto my Qnap TS-451. There get an error when I try to add a file path from the NAS. How do I give Emby (Media Browser) access to my files on my NAS?

Emby: 3.0.5781
Qmono: 3.10.0.0_x86.qpkg.zip
NAS: TS251
Connection: Wired
Service: DLNA
Device: LG webOS 2.0

I experience very poor playback, with constant loading issues of MVK >3000kbit rate; (720p).
Prior to this I was using Plex and never experienced the issue.
Also seek to time takes a very long time to start playing.

Is there anyway to browse by folder?

Thanks.

If your LG model is LB[5,6,7]xxx you might try this DLNA profile.

My setup's a bit different than yours (emby docker, 4K WebOs 2.0 tv), but I found I was able to solve my performance issues by creating a custom DLNA profile for Emby. I filled out the following fields under 'Info':

Code: Select all

Friendly name: webOs
Manufacturer: LG
Model name: LG TV
Model number: 1.0
And under 'Direct Play' I just have an entry with 'All' for everything, so nothing gets transcoded, because my model has been able to play everything I've sent it so far. YMMV. In order to figure this out I had to enable various debug log options and probably restart Emby multiple times for them to take effect. Then search through the log files for 'LG', 'webOS', or 'DLNA'.

Bad Request (Name contains invalid characters)
This doensnt happen when i use a ddns service ((http://lowfi.***.***:8096/). Any idea what is wrong?

updated to last 3.05781.2

A small update to the previous release has gone out. The following issues are resolved:

Code: Select all

    Explicitly define SchedulesDirect request dates
Reduce CPU utilization by reducing frequency of image encoding
Adjust subtitle positions in web client when OSD is showing (supported in Chrome only)
Remove yellow backgrounds from login screens in Chrome
Improve upgrade process from older server versions

Is there a link to some install documentation. I downloaded the Qmono 3.12 package listed in this thread and it refused to install. I then decided to try the 4.0.1 package that comes directly from the Qnap app browser. That one installed, but then when I tried to install the Emby qpkg from this thread, it failed as well. In both cases, I got the generic "check log for details", but whenthe log comes up i n the Qnap interface there's nothing there. I'm running a TS-851 w/ 2GB of RAM and firmware 4.2.0. Any help or links would be appreciated.

Anyone having issues after installing plugins when you have to restart, the system wont load?
I have to uninstall and reinstall in order for it to come back up, then reinstall plugins, and same thing.

Emby: V1.151123
Qmono: V4.0.1.0 (default qnap pkg)
QNAP: TS-453 Pro, 4.2.0 Build 20151118

Any help would be appreciated.

same problem here - fresh install, newest stable from first post.

performing emby server app restart after installing a plugin (trailer and kodi quick sync) - emby server hangs - after rebooting NAS (TS-251+) all workes again...
any suggestions?

Qmono: 4.2.1
Emby: v3.0.5781.3 (x86)
QNAP: TS-251+

best regards,
