This package doesn't work for me either. Similar error to above, connection refused.
I stopped the App in the App center and then chose update. After update I couldn't connect on my local LAN.
Previous package (1.15) was working fine.

I also tried removing and then doing a clean install. This didn't work either.

I tried to run the QMineCraft.sh shell script from a Putty command line and got the following error. Not sure if this is expected or not.

It looks like there are many newer JDK packages available on the QNAP Club repo. Would removing JDK8 and upgrading help?

I installed the Open JDK16 package from QNap Club, and edited the QMineCraft.sh file to reference "QJDK16" and it worked!

I downloaded the new package but it's a text file... .qpkg.txt... It's enough to rename in .qpgk?

Portforwarding on port 25565 192.168.1.111 TCP/UDP
I have installed QJDK16.
I have installed QMinecraft.
Do I have to install some minecraft version or some world on my qnap?

I try to connenct from my pc to server (192.168.1.111:25565) but "connection refused".
I'm a very noob, sorry.

Hello, I'm new here (yes; qnap fan) I'm here because QMineCraft I've gone from 1-18 page (I've found out 95% of things here (what I needed) and I can tell that for me 1.17.x Minecraft works flawlessly BIG thank you to #QNAP_Stephane. I've hooked myself on this post because I would like to support a creation and addition of "mods" folder (it would me useful) + I would like if would be possible "link" actual server.properties with preview (located in) "Web folder" of QNAP (in my case) so there would not be essential to go to SSH. (yes I know WEB UI adding works; perfect)

I'll try to help:

• locally; in web browser "your nas ip":8081/QMineCraft/config.php add your nas IP under "server-ip=x.x.x.x

• open QNAP APP: myqnapcloud > auto router configuration > add NAS service > add a port: 25565 (TCP) > apply to router (OK)

Login to your Minecraft:

• Multiplayer > direct connection (or add a server) > enter NAS local IP (or your NAS *DNS name) x.myqnapcloud.com *if you have it?

Your QMinecraft should pop up !!

• And you should be able to log in + adjust your op's + whitelist + allow white list = true (in "your nas ip":8081/QMineCraft/)

restart QMinecraft

• (app) OFF / ON

Sorry for the dumb question, but how does one gain access via ftp or network to the QMineCraft directory to be able to replace the world file for example?

There is no way to access the minecraft folder with ftp by default.
Copy the world-folder on some share you created.
Then you can replace the world folder from this location in the Telnet session.

Sorry for my dumb question too, I don't understand how to replace the world. what you mean by replacing in Telnet session?

Hello, everyone! I've notice that some people mixing together two different things as separate: SSH = SFTP / SFTP = SSH that's the same protocol / the same ports! For those who are more "visual types" (like me) i suggest downloading:

1. TOTAL COMMANDER https://www.ghisler.com + ADDING (TO IT) PLUGIN = YouTube video as example "Using Total Commander to SSH a remote device"

• SFTP 2.80 https://www.ghisler.com/plugins.htm INSTALL PLUGIN to total commander via total commander

• enable service on QNAP SSH/FTP make sure that you as a user have a added rights to use SSH/SFTP

LOG IN to QNAP via TOTAL COMMANDER SSH

• locate QPG/QMinecraft directory on your NAS

• replace, copy, edit, any folder or file, directory directly (do what ever you want)

- for me it's working flawlessly! Don't forget to TURNED OFF SSH/SFTP service in QNAP after session is done and restart QMinecraft

as already gentleman bellow mentioned (but now you have visual representation) instead of "command line" in PUTTY

To upgrade QMineCraft yourself (which I just did)

- Download the new jar file from https://minecraft.net/en-us/download/server
- Replace minecraft_server.jar in your .QPG/QMinecraft directory on your NAS.
- Restart QMineCraft. (./QMinecraft.sh restart should do the job from the above directory if you have SSHed in)

QNAP_Stephane, thanks for this great package. It's perfect!

suggestions for enhancements
- easy way to run multiple servers
- easy way to add in custom maps e.g. http://www.minecraftmaps.com/survival-maps/skyblock
- easy way to add in mods

(yes, I know the above can still be done manually, which I have. But a nice interface would rock)

If I try to do it myself by replacing just: minecraft_server.jer (over SFTP / SSH) w / newer version: minecraft_server.jer (server stil tying to run previous version of Minecraft) why?
By just replacing *.jar file I can't get Minecraft working on latest version, /bin/java -Xmx1024M -Xms1024M -jar minecraft_server.jar nogui = (OK) = still NO work on newer version (hm)
... after each replasment of *.jar app / server was restarted: OFF / ON

it should be that simple / by just replacing; minecraft_server.jer w/ newer version ... I'm lost?
