you have to edit /opt/NetData/etc/netdata/health_alarm_notify.conf, set DEFAULT_RECIPIENT_EMAIL field and restart NetData.

Re: [ NetData ] [ 1.8.0 ] Real-time performance monitoring, done right
I ilke that UPS qnapups is included because my UPS is detected. But why it is refreshing every 2 seconds while all other metrics seems to refresh every second?
Entered the NAS world with a TS-251+ in December 2016. As of December 2020, disks are now used in a TS-253D.

Hi,
I have added this page to netdata package maintainers: https://github.com/firehol/netdata/issues/651
QNAP_Stephane if you have a github account, let me know to add your username to it.
Thanks!

Re: [ NetData ] [ 1.8.0 ] Real-time performance monitoring, done right
Hi,
It seems that netdata is not recognizing lm-sensors on qnap, have anyone experienced this? I was able to force the legacy sensors but not the new ones that supposedly are managed through Python (files under python folder on netdata)
Thanks

@QNAP_Stephane could you post the steps for building NetData for QNAP? Currently we're reliant on you for new versions - there's no backup in case you disappear.
Also I'm in the process of working on some potential modifications for NetData and I'd like to be able to build locally.

Re: [ NetData ] [ 1.8.0 ] Real-time performance monitoring, done right
Why you think i will disappear...
build process is a standard cross compilation process
update will come...
just a bit overloaded in my daily work, and with other qpkg release

Re: [ NetData ] [ 1.9.0 ] Real-time performance monitoring, done right
Thanks for the new build.
As a software developer myself, I always like to plan for someone disappearing unexpectedly, including myself i.e. increasing the bus number. I'm pretty sure there's more than just cross-compilation - there's also packaging up into a QPKG, the QNAP-specific script, etc.
In any case, I don't know the steps needed for doing the cross-compilation - I'm sure I could work it out, but since you've already done the work it seems sensible to publish them. Maybe it would be possible to contribute the instructions and anything additional required to the main NetData project so it just becomes a standard compilation target via netdata_installer.sh.
