Seems there's a problem with the x31 package. :'

I'll contact the package maintainer and see if this can be fixed. Sit tight for now.

Hey @rawsy, I've just updated the [sherpa.sh] script so it will install a different Par2 QPKG. Can you please download the latest script and try it? :geek:

Yes, x41 is the correct package for your NAS.

Good work. :D

Apologies if I'm asking in the wrong section. I have installed the sherpa script quite some time ago, and all was working good. Recently, I've noticed that Radarr is using way too much memory (multi-gigs) and is causing the system to nearly lock up. When I look under the resources app in qnap, it shows that Radarr is using 1.4GB, and when I expand it, it shows Mono using the same amount. Restarting Radarr does nothing to solve the issue - however, restarting mono does resolve it.

I am very incompetent to troubleshoot, but I can follow directions...

ETA: Sorry - I just went back to page 1 and realize that mono/.net is something that isn't favored by OP. My apologies... I thought it was installed through this script. I'll leave this here anyway just in case someone can reach out to help a brother out ;)

Please run [sherpa.sh] and reinstall Entware:

Code: Select all

./sherpa.sh Entware

If you want to upgrade SABnzbd, stop the SABnzbd QPKG, then start it again via your QTS App Center. No need to re-run [sherpa.sh]. ;)

Re: [SCRIPT] sherpa.sh

Post by patricepm »

Hi all,

Perhaps it's already been asked here..or not, I can't find it at least.
I've installed SabNZBdplus via the Sherpa script, this also installed Python2. I'm looking into to updating python to the latest version 3 but I can't seem to find how to do it. I've tried installing via the Qnap store/QNAP Club (both ones I've tried) but using the command: python -V still shows me the old version.

Anyone would like to reach a helping hand in how I can update to version 3?

Thanks in advance.

Python 3 is a completely separate environment from Python 2.7 (both can run on the same machine simultaneously). It's not possible to "upgrade" 2.7 to 3. ;)

A new SABnzbd written for Python 3 is being developed and bug-tested as we speak. I'll introduce support for it (and the other supported apps) via [sherpa.sh] in the second-half of 2019.

As @OneCD noted, Python 3 is completely separate. Try

Code: Select all

python3 --version
to check to see if you do have it installed. (Assuming you wanted Python 3 for reasons besides SABnzbd and it wasn't just a misunderstanding about version numbers.)

A problem best discussed on the SABnzbd forum. ;)

Is it due to the age of my NAS?

I've had a quick look at this and added some additional parameters to the log.

Can you please download the latest sherpa script and try installing another app like SABnzbd? This should also install Entware.
