I have two of their unmanaged switches, and they are fine. But my VR2800 VDSL Modem router has only recieved one update in 18 months to 2 years, and that was to fix a CVE vulnerability (if memory serves), and my TL-PA9020P (V1) powerline adapters have never recieved any. The QoS on those things is enforced, and cannot be disabled, and tends to outright block other traffic aside from that selected via one of the four available profiles, so you essentially have to select something you'll never need (in my case, VoIP) to avoid issues with traffic on the LAN just not getting through because of QoS kicking in once it detects traffic that fits the selected QoS prioritisation profile.

Wish i'd kept my Devolo's I had before. I do get 800 - 1200Mbps speed ratings on the TP-Link adapters, but that is split across the two physical ethernet ports present, and they don't bridge my split ring-main with RCD panel so well (600Mbps tops) and they don't like being on the same ring-main as AC-DC adapter devices much. The wiring here is about 12-15 years old.

EDIT: Something else to consider (which I was also unaware of prior to purchasing the VR2800), DD-WRT won't touch routers with integrated modems, with a 10ft barge-pole, and that goes for *any* brand of router, not just TP-Link. So if you plan on buying a router, with the option of putting their firmware on it, if the manufacturer's own firmware doesn't "do it" for you, keep your seperate modem and just buy a plain router. I thought I was being clever moving away from the Netgear WNDR4300 & attached BT Openreach VDSL modem at the time, now not so much.

Hindsight is a wonderful thing I guess.

No, disabling it won’t revert anything.

I’d be interested to know what they mean by “abnormal”. Really doesn’t tell us much.

Can you let me know the outcome?

Cheers mate. :geek:

i recall doing a clean reinstall and not installing other apps. this is why i thought your app is not the cause of this issue.

but now helpdesk just simply say the quoted comment. not sure if they simply saying or what. anyway it's uninstalled and i got the ts-877 running to see if it happens again (which i suspect it will) :(

anyway i'll be posting the follow up here

Hey Team - getting a "Digital Signature Warning" on the latest update (190929).

Anything different or dodgy about this one? Holding off an update for now.

Hi and welcome to the forum. :)

QNAP recently added these warnings to QTS.

Presently, only QPKGs built by QNAP are digitally-signed. 3rd-party packagers (like me) are not yet signing their packages.

I contacted QNAP a couple of weeks ago and asked for more information regarding their signing process and public key distribution - they acknowledged my request but are yet to reply. :S

You can safely ignore these warnings until package signing becomes the norm.

Ah - got it; thanks. Will proceed but will be giving it the side-eye until the signing comes along

Hey there! Any chance we can slide qVPN earlier in the order? Perhaps in the #4 slot? Getting it to start before PlexMediaCenter would be helpful for those who have remote streaming enabled, as it affects exteral IP and such. Thanks for considering!

You've asked about this previously: viewtopic.php?p=720681#p720681

How did creating your custom lists work-out?

Nope. :?

Can you please list the steps you performed, starting with how you installed this QPKG? And ending with your NAS unreachable?

I just installed SortMyQPKGs from the AppCenter, that's it. Now it is completely random whteher I can reach QTS or not. Sometime I have to reboot my NAS 8-10 times until I can reach it.

I was hoping for a little more detail than that. :?

It sounds like you have an app (QPKG) that isn't starting correctly.

Please post your SortMyQPKGs log. Click on the 'open' button for SortMyQPKGs in your App Center to show this.
