Hello. I am using the new version, thanks. Is there a way to see the console? In the windows version I am able to see what xTeVe is doing, but I can' t see it in the QNAP version.

Hi, I have a problem with the installation. On my Qnap ts-228 it does not work. I can not install. Such info gets from qnap: "Severity level Date Time Users IP Source Application Category Content
Error 2018/10/26 22:52:32 System 127.0.0.1 App Center App Installation [App Center] Failed to install xTeVe 1.1.0. Installation package is incompatible. Use the correct package. "Is there any solution for this?

What exactly is IPTV and how does this app relate to Plex?

I downloaded it, installed it and tested it. It works just fine. I love it.
But I have 3 major issues which make this a no go for me. And there is nothing you can do about that unfortunately. It's Plex.

1) Recordings go into my library; Movies or TV Series library. They should go into a separate "Recordings" folder. Plex should not write recorded files to my personal folders. There is no way to configure this.
2) I cannot delete recordings. Or I have to enable "Allow media deletion" for all Libraries.
3) There is no TV guide "grid" in the Plex app (yet) on IOS and LG WebOS. These apps only show a Netflix style recommendation. For now this is only supported on Plex Web App, Apple TV and Android TV. https://support.plex.tv/articles/225877 ... ram-guide/

I'm running Plex Server 1.14.0.5470.

Maybe someone knows a workaround for some of these issues?

I would suggest looking into emby instead of plex, it's solves you problem for recording and deleting, but grid guide is not available on all devices, it does not have it for Apple tv yet but is supposed to be comming

I’m testing Emby since a couple of days. It seems to do everything I want.
It solves all my issues that I mentioned earlier.

Thanks for the tip.

I tested xTeVe on my Qnap and it works great both in Plex and Emby.
And I also found out that it works in Smart-IPTV running on LG and Samsung smart-TVs.
Therefore I want to download/install xTeVe on a Raspberry Pi. Because I don't want my NAS to be running 24/7 just to watch live TV.
I cannot find any information about this so if someone could help me with this I will buy you a beer.

I've never looked into IP TV, obviously you like it, I'm curious do you get regular channels. Like local free to air, and cable channels. Or are they non mainstream type of TV? I might do a Google search now but I'm interested in your opinion. (if you have the time).

@Moo, I don’t know anything about IPTV either, but I recently saw this and thought you might be interested as you’re in Aus too. I’ve also no idea if their streams can be used with anything else: http://www.techguide.com.au/news/intern ... b-browser/
