thanks so much, you are the best!

I already wrote it in the Unifi Controller thread.
Today morning the unifi controller and video worked. I did the QNAP security update and now both Apps wont run. Page does not exit my browsers say.
QDJK, Controller and Video uninstalled and installed without errors. No result. All the other Apps (pyload, plex, etc.) work without any problem.

Any hint?

edit: if I start it on the console it works

Thanks a lot for the 3.9.11 update. My camera is now recognised and generally everything works fine. The only issue I have encountered is that when trying to change the system configuration an error is generated saying:

"Validation Failed. /share/CACHEDEV1_DATA/.qpkg/UnifiVideo/data/videos - path is not accessible. Please correct permisions or ownership and try again."

Addionally, or because of that error in saving, when trying to save the system configuration settings, I cannot get any change to the NVR name or more critically "time-based purging", or "space to keep settings" to actually stick.
unifi-video.jpg
I am guessing this is something due to the way qpkgs work and the paths they can access, or where their settings are stored, or the user they run as... but I don't have expertise in that sort of thing.

I do see some people encountering similar on Synology and dockers:

I am having the same issues,

Validation Failed, path is not accessible, please correct permissions or ownership.

I have tried to find the advanced folder permissions but have not had any success.

Thanks

According to this post:

https://community.ubnt.com/t5/UniFi-Vid ... -p/2118930

It runs under user “unifi-video” ... but this is beyond my knowledge level.

Thanks for the update. Am having some issues though I am afraid.....

- Updated from the qnapclub repo and restarted, the qpkg was installed but was not accessible from the GUI.
- Uninstalled and re-installed but same issue.
- Installed the qpkg manually and manged to get it running, got the camera adopted. The specific issue we had about the permissions did seem resolved - I was able to change the recordings path and the time-based purging without getting that error.
- But then after a while it stopped responding.
- Uninstalled and renstalled from the repo again, restarted the machine but the same problem - the GUI is not accessible. When I look at the activity monitor I do not see any unifi video process running at all.
...I am still doing some more testing, am hoping to resolve.... but this information just FYI.

I managed to get it all working again by installing the package manually, and got it set up with the camera recording. But it does not seem to survive a reboot of the QNAP machine.
