I had the same problem when manually specifying a port and forwarding on firewall, the transmission client port check gave an error but the port was indeed open and client was recognised to be accepting connections by the tracker.

I suspect it is this issue : https://github.com/transmission/transmi ... ssues/1190

Thanks for everyone's assistance, I actually installed 2.94 and it didn't have any issues so I'm using that.

why did you use another folder than the default one? this makes such trouble.

I have the same problem. Torrents are still in v2.94. What is the procedure to transfer them to 3.0.0.2?

I'm seeing the same issue as some on Transmission 3.0.2 and the port blocking but with a twist. I had 2.9.4 installed and removed it. Installed 3.0.2. I am getting the port not open error in Transmission but I have verified the port is forwarded and open to the internet. I also disabled IPv6 with no results.
The issue I have is that I can connect to some tracker websites but others will not connect. Can anyone offer any advice on what the issue is or what I can try to fix this?

Personally staying with 2.94 for the time being, rock solid with no issues for years.

Same here, I am using 2.94 as well and based on the changelog there are no benefits to upgrading to 3.x

So I installed this, but can't get it to work again. When launching the app it gives me connection refused. And I have trouble finding a guide which tells me how to use SSH to setup transmission.
Is there something I'm overlooking?

I'm also having the same issue. I have all my torrents migrated from 2.94 to 3.0.0.2 but for some reason after the latest Qnap update I keep getting connection refused and it is driving me crazy.

I found a fix for me and it might work for you. My Qnap is running a intel cpu and I was running the x86 version of Transmission but after installing the x64 it worked.

It seems that something doesn't work correctly with ssl, torrents that have private trackers with https it says Cannot connect to tracker

I ran
curl -v https://mytracker -> worked
/share/CACHEDEV1_DATA/.qpkg/QTransmission3/bin/curl -v https://mytracker -> didn't work
/share/CACHEDEV1_DATA/.qpkg/QTransmission3/bin/curl --capath /etc/ssl/certs -v https://mytracker -> worked

maybe the internal curl has an issue.

I revert to 2.94 and works fine.

I just got my NAS replaced with the TS 569 pro.

I installed Transmission 2.94 which works on the NAS, but I cannot get the Transmission Remote GUI (version 3.2) connected.

I created a new profile with the new login credentials and used the same port.

When I try to connect I get the message :" Invalid server response".

Anyone an idea how to get this working?

Thank you

*edit*
The port that was listed in the settings tab of Transmission showed me a different port then the HTTP one. I changed to what the browser showed me and it works.

How do I access the /opt/QTransmission/etc/settings.json

Transmission is doing something weird where its saying I don't have enough space. I'm guessing the default directories are all messed up as no matter what I set in the config options within webui it always puts the downloads in /public
