Updating Apache

Post by Komba »

Hey guys,
here is the short version:
Installed Nextcloud 21 (https://qnapclub.eu/de/qpkg/348), needs Qapache >= 2433.7204, only version of Qapache available in the clubstore is 2439.7229.
So ofcourse as soon as i hit the nextcloud page i get"This version of Nextcloud requires at least PHP 7.3 You are currently running 7.2.29. Please update your PHP version."
Is there a way to run NC 21 when it needs a more recent qapache? Thankful for any advice

Qapache is not maintained anymore.. time to move to Apache73, Apache74 or Apache80 (Apache81 is in build with PHP 8.1)

Alright, got you. Sorry if you may feel like talking to a child, I'm an absolute beginner at QNAP...
Is there a way to smoothly migrate new NextCloud-Versions? Until together I used the same NextCloudfork I will reinstall today but it had version 20.X and the new one got 21.X (whyever it is v21 if its not compatible with it's own dependcy). The meh-thing was that major version upgrades like the one in my case couldn't be done via the updatefunction inside of the NC-GUI, but by hand. So when I now install the nextcloud74, will I be able to smoothly migrate even major updates in the future? Or do I again need to do it all by hand and lose every configuration and apps I already had installed?

And my final question for today (promised): So basically it would be better if I originally start working with apache80 and nextcloud80 and future nextcloud updates will need it and 7.4 will be outdated right?
