GitLab (https://about.gitlab.com/gitlab-ce/) (with QPKG-installer) would be definitely a very good alternative for commercial Rhodecode.

Re: [QPKG] GitLab HQ
you can ask Stephane, he's a specialist from qnap, he might tell you if it is feasable.
I know that he released a similar software : gitblit , but I don't know the difference

Re: [QPKG] GitLab HQ
There is a way to install GitLab on your QNAP; with QNAP Container Station.
ref: https://www.qnap.com/i/en/tutorial/con_ ... ne&cid=179

3. QUICKLY CREATE AN APP CONTAINER
Apps are groups of Docker images that aim to provide a complete service, such as Application + Database, and also quick-installation packages. Using GitLab as an example, this app contains GitLab, PostgreSQL and Redis images.
To create GitLab, click on the “Create Container” > Expand “QNAP LXC / Docker Images” > find “GitLab” and click “Install”.

Hi QNAP_Stephane,
Could you create a qpkg for gitlab?
This is a great server application and I prefer not to use docker.
Cheers

Hi QNAP_Stephane,
would it be possible to create a qpkg for gitlab? Only the core service and we manage dependencies externally. like you've done for mattermost?

Re: [QPKG] GitLab HQ
Hi QNAP_Stephane,
I've found a documentation for installing from scratch. does this help?
https://docs.gitlab.com/ee/install/installation.html
What about using package from another platform like debian or raspberry. Can you use those as base?
https://about.gitlab.com/installation/
Cheers

Re: [QPKG] GitLab HQ
Could you at least create some sort of a guide on how to get GitLab in container station working? Database, etc.
