Scenario: We backup NAS data to Azure using the client-side encryption option for security.
Something happens and the NAS is no longer available. We want to restore the data from Azure to another medium in order to continue our work uninterrupted.
We download the files but they are encrypted. So we have to decrypt them but the problem is we have to do it one by one. A tool or script to do this automatically for all files in all directories would be extremely useful.
Note: I have found the posts about using "openssl enc -d -aes-256-cbc" but I dont know how to do this recursively.
TIA

Have you found a solution to your question? I just did a test of a small directory (uploading to Google Nearline and encrypting the data). I am glad I did not do my entire 5TB of Data, as decrypting each file individually seems unreasonable. I searched for many hours for a tool to decrypt the files with a GUI or recursively. I have come up empty handed.
Please let me know if you found a solution.
