Cannot Restore from Azure Backup

Post by robertanti »

Hi all, I'm using Cloud Azure Backup Station for offsite backups on my QNAP TS-419 PII. The backups seem to work without errors, but whenever I try to restore any data from the Azure cloud backup, I get the following error. " [AzureStorage] Restore job [testrestore<-Daily Offsite Backup] failed because of failing to access local metadata. Please check you disk status and try again." I have ran the COMPLETE TEST on all 3 disks and no errors were found. I also ran the CHECK FILE SYSTEM on the logical volume, which warns me "It will take a long time" but completes without warning/error within 3-5 minutes.

Is there any way to fix this please? Any ideas/thoughts would be appreciated, thanks in advance!

Have you changed anything in Azure?
Also, I would suggest checking that your internet is stable, if you keep losing packets of data, this can lead to corrupted data.
Sometimes you can get this is the App has updated, when this happened to me I just re-replicated the data, but had to delete the container from Azure first.
That is why you should as best practice, have a USB drive plugged in to replicate locally in case of restore issues.

Only thing i can suggest is that you login to Azure and use the Azure tool to browse your data. This way you can still restore from Azure, but also check to make sure that the Azure data is ok.
