File deletion problem

Post by ccrepin »

Hello,

I have a problem of synchronization. Everything works except the deletion of files.

When I delete a file or a folder on the Qnap, the next synchronization will not delete the file on the Azure container

With Amazon S3, I can not reproduce the problem.

Is that a bug?

I did not find any error in the log /AzureStorage/log/AzureStorage.log

Thank you for your answers.

Hi,

Did you enable "Delete extra files" option in "Configure Policy" during backup job creation wizard?
If not, you can edit the backup job, enable it, and then run the backup job again.

Hi,

I cannot reproduce your issue.
Do you mean that when you run restore job from the Azure container to your NAS, those deleted files/folders still exist?

Yes, When I restore content, the files and folders deleted files still exist.

I did not find any permission options on the Azure web interface.

Do you have the application on ARM or Intel?

Hi,

Please click on a button on the top-right corner opf the Azure app window. You will see a pop-up window with version information and a button "generate debug report". Click on that button to download the log file.

Hi,

Thanks for sending me the diagnose report.
After a quick check, I don't see any restore job on the report.
Did you restore the files not via Azure QPKG app?

Hi,

According to further analysis, we found out that actually the locally deleted files are also deleted (manually by a user) on the cloud.
I also sent the detail result of your Azure diagnose report analysis to your inbox.
Please check it.

Thank you for your response and analysis.
The restoration does not restore the deleted file.

But when I go to the Azure web interface. The files are not deleted.

This is troublesome, because the space is paid to use.

According to analysis, those files is already deleted on the cloud by user.
Can you provide your Azure credentials (account name and access key) to me via private message?
I just want to take a look into the container which has the problem.
Thank you.
