Client Side Encryption

Hi community,
I'm testing the glacier app and it appearsto work fine, however looking at my Glacier vault all the files are encrypted. When I set the backup job I didn't set client side encryption!
If I look at the job there's no password set under the policy tab, if i use a glacier browser then all the files are definitely encrypted.
What is the problem here? any help much appreciated.
