Backup to S3 fails for large files

Post by plittlefield »

A directory containing 25 files totalling 1.15TB in size is failing backup to S3.

In that directory, the largest file is 485GB and the smallest file is 30MB.

The files are changing every day and according to the QNAP S3 Plus logs, it is not transferring because of an 'unstable network'.

At this location, we have a good internet connection with speeds of 92Mbps down and 92Mbps up.

Why is this failing?

You wanna try to extend the timeout and number of retries in the job settings in order to work around transient unstableness of connectivity?

This should be in the advanced setting in each job's setup.

Let me know if it could help?
