After Upgrade, no S3 Plus??

Hi, all.

Problem with a client's NAS, just ran the upgrade to QTS 5.01, and that was all fine, but now S3 Plus complained about a digital signature and removed itself. S3 is the customer's primary cloud backup, with lots of history and saved files, would prefer not to have to change.

HBS doesn't like S3, and I can't find any other backup app that would work. Why no new version of S3 Plus? What can we do now?

many NAS apps have max_version 5.0 hardcoded in..only the app creator can change it

complain to QNAP via ticket if it is a native app

It is a Qnap app, so I made a ticket.
HBS3 claims to be Amazon S3 compatible, but it doesn't seem to work either. Who is that on, Amazon or Qnap?

Well well, I was incorrect about HBS3 not working with AWS - it does. I guess I based that on a previous version, when I first got this NAS, I did try to get the backup working with HBS, and it didn't, so that was why I went to S3 Plus, which did work. Now there have been upgrades, S3 Plus is gone, and HBS3 now has it's functionality. So now we're all good and working. :D
