Backup/Sync App for Amazon Cloud Drive
New customer of a QNAP product and love it! There is one feature I see missing that would benefit a lot of people. Amazon recently announced that users with Prime accounts now have unlimited photo storage (https://www.amazon.com/clouddrive/prime ... _us_pdp_t2) on Amazon Cloud Drive. With an estimated number of Prime members of 30-50 million (http://recode.net/2014/09/18/amazon-pri ... lyst-says/) this app seems like a perfect fit for the QNAP solution to allow users to backup/sync all photos with Prime Photos and to expose your company and solutions to millions that are unaware of it. Here is the developer link withe API capabilities and process to develop an app for Amazon Cloud Drive https://developer.amazon.com/public/api ... loud-drive.

Re: Backup/Sync App for Amazon Cloud Drive
I second the request. such an app for QNAP would be excellent, especially since Amazon now offers a very good value in unlimited storage.

Re: Backup/Sync App for Amazon Cloud Drive
Amazon Cloud is now offering unlimited storage for about $60/month. I would really like to use this with my TS-453 Pro. Several Q's:
1. Is QNAP developing an app to support Amazon Cloud, and if so when will it be available?
2. Is it possible to workaround this? i.e. either by using my Mac Mini with Amazon's own app on same LAN as QNAP to point to QNAP drive, or maybe by using a virtual machine running on QNAP itself?
Either way, I need to resolve this. QNAP offers fast local storage but it not totally secure unless backed up to remote location. I have 8 Tb of data to store, and right now Amazon is far less expensive that all of the other QNAP supported vendors. The closest is Dropbox for Business at nearly $200 for equivalent service...
Thanks in advance for your help.

I just signed up for the amazon could drive service too. Would be great to have an app available through App Center. I don't see anything in their terms of service that would prohibit such a thing.

Re: Backup/Sync App for Amazon Cloud Drive
I'm looking into this and found the following app through QNAP:

Hopefully this is the right thing to get Amazon Cloud Drive files synced with QNAP NAS

Why can't people provide "titles" when providing QNAP Press releases / Tutorials?
Yes. this is solution for QTS 4.2.0 (or better).
I'm already using it with Dropbox.

Because the thread title is sufficient Chief.pwilson wrote:Why can't people provide "titles" when providing QNAP Press releases / Tutorials?
Unfortunately "Cloud Drive Sync" (while Beta), does not currently support Amazon Cloud Drive.
Here's hoping QNAP adds support for Amazon Cloud Drive in next release.

It would be great when Amazon cloud drive would be added. Also waiting for that provider to be programmed into that tool.
Would be awesome to leverage my amazon unlimited cloud drive i purchased
Thank you!
